Over its eight years of existence, the WPA put around 8.5 million Americans to work.

WPA workers built roads, public buildings, and parks. The WPA also employed musicians, artists, writers, actors and directors for multiple art projects.

Here are some of the WPA-artist designed posters. The distinctive style of the posters is still relevant today.
