Found 1910’s and 20’s photos from rural Kansas and Illinois

Found photos gift us a captivating peek into the daily lives of people of the past. These pictures, from my found photo collection, feature my ancestors, German-Americans, the Kublers and Wendlings.

The black and white images from Illinois and Kansas, show unfamiliar fashion, architecture, farming techniques, and more. However, these windows also remind us of our shared humanity. The huddled teenagers and young adults waiting for the camera to snap, shots of smiles and goofing around, these images wouldn’t be out of place in today’s sphere of Instagram, Snapchat, Facebook, and more.
